Ebony Dueling Sword with Scabbard
Ebony swords rank among the best blades a player can wield outside of Rune Weapons. There are several different Ebony swords in Pendor, and all share common characteristics. Each possesses high damage, high attack speed, and a high strength requirement to wield. Due to the variety of these blades, it is relatively easy to find one in a merchant shop. Only rare and/or elite units utilize these blades in combat.
The Ebony Dueling Sword is meant for a skilled swordfighter. Faster than most other Ebony swords, but also dealing slightly less swing damage, this is also the only one of the Ebony blades to be utilized by a soldier of one of the six main kingdoms in Pendor. Though its swing damage is less than other Ebony blades, the thrust damage is actually the highest of all the one-handed Ebony swords and its shorter reach allows the Dueling Sword to be among the most effective Ebony weapons in close-quarters.
