The Double Sided Lance is unique among the couched lances in Pendor. It's by far the shortest lance, a full third shorter than a regular Lance, making it easily outclassed against other lancers in mounted comabt. However, it's also by far the most useful lance on foot for that same reason. It has very low damage - barely better than an Iron Staff - but at least it has some utility on foot if one loses their horse and is better than some basic spears. It's also extremely inexpensive to purchase from merchant shops.
